Tuesday Trivia for 8 Aug 2006

I’ve decided to start a weekly trivia post with the questions on Tuesday and the answers on Wednesday. I’ve dubbed it Tuesday Trivia. I have yet to come up with a snazzy name for the answers posted on Wednesday. I’m open to suggestions.

Here are the questions. They’re meant to start off easier and gradually become harder (so 5 is meant to be the hardest).

  1. From 1964 to 1984 when were no half dollars struck for circulation?

  2. “The Fare Box” is the journal of what token-collecting club?

  3. Through 1985, in what two years were no cents struck at the Philadelphia Mint?

  4. In what year were the last Booker T. Washington commemoratives struck?

  5. What early US Mint employee formed the nucleus of the National Coin Collection?

Note: I accidentally sent out a notification for the answers post instead of the questions post, so please disregard the e-mail saying that the answers were posted. I’ll post them tomorrow.
