1866 silver dollar found

A rare 1866 silver dollar was found in Maine of all places. It was part of a collection that was stolen in 1967 during an armed robbery, and was among the few items that were still of unknown whereabouts.

The coin will end up in the American Numismatic Association’s museum in Colorado Springs, CO (it’s a great museum if you ever have a chance to go).
