the joy of coin collectingIn 1995 when I first created this web site I happened upon an article by John Murbach discussing the nature of coin collectors and coin collecting. I didn't know who he was or his reasons for writing it, but it struck a chord with me. He expressed the pleasure of collecting coins in such a way that I felt proud to be a part of the hobby. I soon lost track of the link but years later remembered how much I had enjoyed reading the essay and tried to find it, but failed. After several more tries I finally managed to locate it and I immediately saved it.
